Description:
PowerTrip is a daemon that runs in the background and monitors APC SmartUPS via the serial port, and intercepts messages as to when the UPS is on or off battery power. It handles warning the user that the system is on battery power, and will shut the system down once battery power reaches a specified minimum. Future versions will include more functionality for compiling statistics like average load, logging power spikes and dips, etc.
