Description:
As the name implies it's designed to filter e-mails that you download. For example if you have subscribed to some mailing list(s) it's convenient to have the mailing lists directed to their own directories rather than have one big mess in the mail/in directory. Also some spamming can be directed straight to Thrash etc.
