Description:
BeNotify is a configuration utility and library that implement a lightweight user notification mechanism for BeOS. If a program in the background needs user intervention, they can call a function in this library to get the user's attention. The _user_ gets to configure _how_ they want to be notified. Options include an obtrusive dialog, a user-selected sound, or a notification menu in the deskbar. Package includes executables for R4 on both architectures. *** WARNING for prior users. *** I broke binary compatibility to some extent. Developers who used the static library should be fine, but apps linked directly against the R3 shared lib won't launch with the R4 version. It won't happen again.
