Description:
Tcpcat is a small and very useful utility that I wrote to allow backup of a server's whole filesystem without requiring any extra space for temp files. Tcpcat is a simple program that is like `cat' but it works over tcp streams to allow you to cat from one host to another. The host common way to use this program whould be something like this: on host a: $ tcpcat -l 93255 | gzip -dc | tar xvf - on host b: $ tar zcvf - directory | tcpcat -h hosta:93255 If you have any questions about the information provided for a specific application, please e-mail the author. If you have any questions about the BeWare pages themselves, though, feel free to e-mail webmaster@be.com. | ||||||
