This package contains a keymap file intended to replace the default 
Spanish keymap for the BeOS. The default keymap has a number of 
problems which are impossible to resolve with the Keymap preferences 
application, so I generated this replacement.

I use this keymap on a Spanish version of the Microsoft natural 
keyboard with an Intel PC.

This keymap changes the following settings:

* The right option key is set to correspond to the key labelled "Alt 
Gr" which is normally used to generate alternate characters.

* The right command key, which was assigned to "Alt Gr" has been 
disabled.

* The right control key is set to B_CONTROL_KEY to match the function 
of the left control key.

* The "windows" keys on the Microsoft natural keyboard have been 
disabled. In the default map, the left windows key had the function 
of 
an option key, but this function has been taken over by the "Alt Gr" 
key. It would be interesting to be able to trap these keys, and use 
them to open the Deskbar application menu.

* The '<' and '>' keys have been added since they were missing from 
the default key map. These keys are assigned to key code 0x69, which 
is located between the "Z" key and the left Shift key.

* The numerical keypad has been corrected, placing 7 8 9 in the top 
row instead of the default map which uses 1 2 3 in the top row.

* The caps and caps-shift character maps have been corrected for 
non-alphabetic characters according to the BeOS documentation: 
Keyboard Information appendix of the BeBook PR version. In the 
default 
keymap, the caps lock generates shifted keys for these non-alphabetic 
keys.

* The option key maps have been changed to add more extended 
characters like in the US keymap. In the default option maps, normal 
alphabetic characters are generated even when the option key is 
pressed.

To install this key map, move the file "Spanish2" into the folder 
/boot/home/config/settings/Keymap, and use the Keymap preferences 
application to select it as the current keymap.
