Description:
These classes provide a useful feature for BeOS applications that require a user to enter a password. They are designed to be robust (except where noted) supporting most standard forms of input including pastes and drags. All charcters entered are replaced with a blot character (by default a '*'). Attempts to copy the password will yield only a string of blot characters. Dragging text behaves similarly for text dragged outside the PasswordView. The PasswordView class has been designed with security in mind. There is no way short of a memory dump or key grabber for another application or user to obtain the password. In memory encryption is planned for a future release. Mirror Download Sites:
