Description:

GSM is a lossy audio compression system. When you compress, you lose
some sound
quality. However, one time compression works well enough.

To give you some idea of how well GSM can compress audio, take
"Virtual
(void)", that charming little song that comes with BeOS, and
that we all heard at PCExpo:

The original file is 31.1 MB
After GSM, the file is 1.6 MB
An MP3 of the same file is 2.8 MB

I hope to have the source code and a precompiled library available in
the near
future.

This version is still under development, and complete by no means.
