Be® Presents BEOS® Developers with Masters Awards
Developers Win Dual Intel® Pentium® Based Personal Computers for Outstanding Applications

MENLO PARK, Calif (November 18, 1998) -- Be, Inc. announced today the winners of its most recent Masters Awards competition. The Masters Awards is an ongoing contest presented by Be to recognize developers of innovative BeOS applications. Winners in Commercial, Shareware and Freeware, and Student categories were each awarded dual-processor Intel Pentium based personal computers.

"An operating system all by itself is useless. It's the applications that make the OS shine," said Scott Paterson, director of marketing at Be. "These awards single out developers willing to take the risk to bring innovation from vision to product."

Honorable mentions were also named in all categories. For more details on the Be Masters Awards, see the Be Internet web site (http://www.be.com/developers/masters/).
