BEATWARE TO RELEASE FIRST CREATIVITY SUITE FOR THE BEOS

Menlo Park, California -- August 4, 1997 -- BeatWare Inc. announced today that Be Studio, the first creativity suite created specifically for the BeOS, will make its public debut at MacWorld Boston in August.

Be Studio provides digital artists with an alternative to the sluggish, resource-hogging graphics programs currently available. The suite includes both an image-editing program as well as a vector-based drawing program and requires less than two megabytes of hard drive space.

Be Studio provides users with additional time-saving capabilities. These include the ability to manipulate multiple images simultaneously without degrading performance, view updates from a variety of perspectives in real-time and export images easily to the World Wide Web.

Be Studio will sell for an introductory price of $99 and will be available both on CD-ROM and via electronic download from BeatWare at www.beatware.com.
