I was thrilled to visit the project tracking page at OpenBeOS.org and discover some very impressive progress has been made since last I checked. Who would have guessed that this small band of code warriors could have made so much progress. It looks to me like this open-sourced BeOS replacement project is moving forward at full chug now, and we all owe them a debt of gratitude and thanks. So thank you, OpenBeOS gang, not only for your hard work, but for having the vision and optimizm to hang in there over the long haul. You guys may very well wind up making history, and your names will go down among the heros who made it happen.

We've just added an important new poll whose results will be made available to companies that are considering whether to develop BeOS versions of their professional audio software. The poll is in the left column of this page. Scroll down a little to see it.

This is just a little one-click poll indicating your level of interest in using BeOS to do professional audio such as music creation, audio production, post production, etc.

It's very important that all of our readers take a moment to fill this out, since the results may help shape the future of BeOS!

In anticipation of BeOSRADIO Week, March 24-31, BeOSRADIO is bolstering its "Extreme Variety" music mix with a ton of new music. The songs, which come from some of the planet's best indie artists performing a dozen or more different genres (styles) of music, are going into the music rotation daily.

The new music will hopefully make BeOSRADIO new and fresh for long-time listeners, and even more excellent for newbies.

For more information, check the BeOSRADIO web site, and also BeOS Journal, which has more information on BeOSRADIO Week.
